The “Spring preload press” machine has the function of preloading the spring of the Spring Assy before is installed inside the IS2-3 Vega C structure.
The equipment has a compression force of about 20 KN.
A screw adjustment system is inserted on the piston rod, with manual adjustment, to allow the management of the spring preload height.
At the rear end, there is a mechanical safety wedge system to prevent accidental discharge of the spring.
The machine is equipped with an interlocked accident prevention guard with safety limit switch that will allow opening only with the block wedge inserted or cylinder at rest.
